Few business locations in High Springs offer as much exposure to driving and walking traffic as does this one. Located across the old railroad tracks (which are now removed and the area used as a city park) from the main downtown businesss district, the building is seen by the many daily visitors to the shops and restaurants downtown as well as by hundreds of people passing each day on busy Main Street (US 41-27). Currently in business as True Value Hardware, most area residents have shopped here at various times over the three decades the current owners have served the needs of their customers, not only in hardware and household goods but in lawn and garden equipment as well. Both the building and its inventory are for sale as a package, excepting a few new mowers. At the other end of the block a new restaurant will open soon, adding to the other popular dining places in the immediate area. Parking is at a premium virtually every night of the week in the downtown area. This building could be adapted to any number of uses complementary to the most popular destinations for visitors. Or course, it's ready-made to continue as the business it is currently. There are six parking spaces on the street out front, and the entire long side of the building facing the former RR tracks is used for parking. On the other side of the tracks is the High Springs Visitors Center, and adjacent to it is a pavillion used as a weekly farmer's market. Directly across the tracks is the site where the city Christmas tree is placed each year. Within easy walking distance, along the city-owned former IR tracks area, are approximately fifty free parking spaces within site of this building. If the next owner adapts the building to another use, word of mouth directions to it for thousands of residents in the High Springs area would simply be: Go to the old True Value building. Everybody knows where that is.
